Ok – so if you have been following our blog – you will have seen our bride Pam’s engagement photos a couple of weeks ago. We did not put up her ‘save the dates’ that included some of those photos – which BTW – were so awesome and made by Pam herself! And when I say DIY – I mean the professional version of DIY, they could have been made by someone in the industry. Well – I just received her invite in the mail yesterday (and if you all follow us on Twitter and Facebook, you have been hearing me scream about this already – plus, you will have seen the photos too! But – they are so great – you shouldn’t mind seeing them 2 if not 3 times! We can’t get enough of them and SOOOO look forward to the pictures of the actual Wedding!

Pam also set up a personal wedding website to keep her friends, family and fans (like us at Emplume Couture Bouquets!) updated on the plans and events surrounding the wedding day! We think this is a great idea and really lets everyone get to know the soon to be MR. and MRS.

Check out http://www.projectwedding.com/to try one out for your wedding.

We finally had the great pleasure to meet the creative force behind the most fabulous wedding invitations we have ever seen! I am sure you all know and love her already (and if you don’t – you should!) – Tifany from Gourmet Invitations.  You may recognize her work  in Bride and Bloom magazine (photo shown below) and the fact she has won Best of Detroit for best invitations in 2007 and 2008, and is a shoe-in for 2009.  We have been very lucky to work with some of the same brides – and the results are amazing! (again – shown below!) Check out her blog to see some of her latest work. Thanks Tifany! It was great to finally meet you in person and we look forward to our next collaboration!~ Shannon

We are so excited as always to have our beautiful web photos taken by the ever fabulous Carla of Carla Licavoli Photography. We also have to thank from the bottom of our hearts, Gina Salaski of Gina’s Bridal. She is always willing to loan out her most glamorous gowns  and her awesome 😉 boutique for our photo shoots. These are our girls! Without them our website would be in doldrums I’m sure!

Thanks ladies!

I am posting a sneak peek of one of our new summer beauties – soon to be added to the Emplume.com bouquet gallery.  Carla thought she should be named “Dolly” (as in- Dolly Parton) and we couldn’t agree more. Just look at her yellow gingham bow and her sassy rhinestone buckle! She’s got a whole lot of country glam.  Look for more summer beauties in our web gallery soon!

Dolly's details - isn't she glamorous!

Don't you just love that gingham bow?

This was the statement made by Ladies Who Launch™ co-founder Victoria Colligan when she was first introduced to Emplume™ Moderne Couture Bouquets almost 2 years ago. Before she started LWL, Victoria worked as director of content and business development for Amsale ( one of my very favorite wedding gown designers ❤ ), and also served as director of business development at the Wedding List before it was acquired by Martha Stewart Inc. Her simple statement meant a lot to us given that she’s likely seen so much within the wedding industry. And besides, I’d never really thought of our bouquets like that before. What I had thought is why in the world has there not been an alternative to fresh flowers ever before? And what I mean is a really genuinely beautiful and elegant alternative to fresh flowers. And don’t get me wrong, I love flowers! But what about brides with flower allergies? And for a wedding, brides and grooms deserve the option to spend their money on something that will last as long as their marriage….forever!
