We want to wish a warm and happy congratulations to one of our recent brides – Liliana. She was just married on October 3rd! We have been working with her via email since early last spring. I thought she would be a great bride to blog about since we went through the entire ‘on-line’ collaboration process with her and had fabulous success! I know a lot of you brides out there may be wary of our process… but Liliana is the proof you may need that Emplume can be just as fabulous and creative with you from far away as we are in person! Liliana loved the Bebe bouquet but was intrigued with another color combination. We were able to ‘re-create’ this all time favorite in the most gorgeous dark red you have ever seen …. and now I may love the ‘Lili’ more than the original! Thanks for the opportunity Liliana – and congratulations! ta~ Shannon

Shannon and Ed were married 11 years ago today! What a gorgeous day it was and a fabulous wedding I will never forget. Classic black and white formal dinner, Vera Wang silk satin gown, white candles everywhere and dancing to a live big band. At the time, Shannon and I worked together as seamstresses so all day we would gab and gab about all the details and plans and magazines. She was ( and still is ) so detail oriented that she ( and Ed too ) would stay up nights glueing pearls on tulle for the almond favors and tiny black velvet ribbons around all the candles. All the planning and perusing and dreaming that went into Shannon and Ed’s wedding day left a lasting love of all things wedding forever. So I guess you could say today is an important day for Emplume too,  since some of the seeds that became Emplume were planted on that day!

But most importantly the day was all about joining together 2 wonderful people who are meant for eachother more than any other couple I know.

Hope you have a wonderful celebration- cheers!

Just this week while we are crazily working away on our many October brides, we were delighted to be asked by Marianne of Laura Davis Events to create some feathered beauties to go along with a table scape they are designing for a magazine spread. We won’t tell you the magazine yet – nor will we tell you the theme… we don’t want to ruin the surprise! But you know if it is planned by Laura and Marianne and has a dash of Emplume – it will undoubtedly be sparkling and fabulous! Check back for the scoop! ta! ~ Shannon
